A new generation plasma torch height controller based on the popular Compact THC 150 model in which the relay outputs have been replaced with STEP DIR inputs / outputs, which, after detecting the cutting arc, generate corrective step / dir signals proportional to the material slope, thanks to which the cutting quality is maintained at a very high level.

The method of connecting the controller "outside the software" allows it to be used with software without the THC function. Connection example:
Attention!
Make sure the machine is properly grounded. Plasma cutters generate voltage that is dangerous to human health and life. Failure to grounding may result in electric shock and / or damage to electronic devices.
It is designed to work with any control system using STEP / DIR signals to control the Z axis. Thanks to its integration with a voltage divider, the connection is very easy.
Connection examples:
When connecting directly to the "power" terminals, keep the connection as short as possible to avoid high disturbances. You should also use test leads with appropriate insulation - matched to the maximum voltage of the plasma cutter. Due to the very high level of interference and voltage "pins", it is recommended to connect the + and - potential with separate wires, which minimizes the risk of insulation breakdown.
VIDEO Example :
Popular plasma torch height controller with Up / Down relay outputs and ARC OK - confirmation of the arc ignition.
Designed to work with CNC control systems that support THC up / down signals, e.g. MACH 3, LinuxCNC, CNConv. Due to the integration with a voltage divider, connection is very easy.
